First, we take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have supported us throughout this year that is about to come to an end.  There is no question that 2008 will be recognized in the history books as one to remember, revisit and learn from.  Our global economic situation is the most precarious most of us have ever seen and now, more than ever, is the time to be smart about what we buy, efficient at how we buy it and creative in how we go about cultivating new business.  That being said, you have our commitment to do all we can to make the process of conducting business as effective as possible.

Here are a few informational tidbits for you to take into account:

ASTATIC -  Minor prices increases have been announced for several products in 2009.  They are price increases none-the-less, so you should anticipate possible sales for the upcoming year and place orders now at 2008 pricing.





WEST PENN WIRE – PRICE DECREASES!!!  Yes, you read this correctly.  It is not a typo!  Copper prices are down, so you should allow us to quote any cabling needs you may have.  West Penn is a superior product that can be price-competitive, yet far more reliable than much of what we see coming in from Asia.  If ever there were a time to “Buy American,” now is that time!

TOA ELECTRONICS – As you know, we continue to stock and offer TOA products from local inventory.  They too have announced an “across-the-board” price increase for 2009.  Therefore, we ask that you review your upcoming product needs and let us know what we should order for you at old prices.  Remember!  Local stock means lower freight (or free delivery in some cases) and much faster delivery times!

NEW PRODUCT: SEVA WALK-THROUGH METAL DETECTORS by DASTEK  –  We are now stocking the SEVA Walk-Through Metal Detectors manufactured by DASTEK.  The SEVA Metal Detector is unique in that it offers two operational modes.  The first is as a traditional Detector with variable sensitivity adjustment that can be set to detect objects as small as a straight pin or paper clip.  The second mode is called “GUN MODE” which configures the sensors to look for only high-density metal objects, such as guns and knives.  This is ideal for applications where the foot traffic is substantial and needs to flow quickly within a short period of time, such as Sporting Events, Concerts, Theme Parks, etc.

WELCOME GLENN EBAT – We ask you to welcome Glenn Ebat, the newest member of PSI’s sales team.  Glenn is our Outside Sales Support, responsible for tracking projects and product quotes.  If you need a price quote and/or want to register a project with the respective factories, Glenn is your primary contact.  He is also available for general support, including supplying you with support materials and coordinating product demos with the outside sale team.

We serve the territory that includes Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.

Collectively, the PSI team offers well over 300 years of sales and marketing experience in the Audio, Video, Security and Fire Safety industries.  Several team members have strong technical and applications-based backgrounds, making them capable of offering a much greater level of support to our customer base.


Specialized Team Members

The PSI Team is made up of individuals who are assigned to specialize in their areas of knowledge and experience.  The team includes specialists in Audio, Video, Entertainment, Security, Surveillance and Fire Safety.  In our assigned territory, Spanish is the second most common language spoken and we have staff members capable of supporting your efforts to the growing Spanish-speaking market.



Local Warehousing

For many of our customers, the days of large stocking orders and having to buy more than necessary to get “end-column pricing” are a thing of the past.  Many buy as required and prefer to Will Call what they need locally.  We have developed a network of distributors throughout Southern California that makes it quick and easy find the products we offer. This includes our warehouse facility in Ontario, California where we have extensive inventory of the most popular products from Astatic, Atlas, ProCo and TOA. 
















Extensive Demo Inventory

Need to see and/or hear a product?  We maintain an extensive inventory of product samples that are available to you for evaluation.  For audio demonstrations, we have preconfigured equipment racks to make the process of connecting and evaluating equipment as quick and efficient as possible.  You don’t need to provide anything more than the date, time and place for the demo.  We take care of the rest.
